Worth 4 dollar gas!

Rob, Jen, Grayden, and Riley ventured to Michigan for Memorial Day weekend fighting traffic and $4 dollar gas...but it was all worth it to meet Blair Mae!!! Grayden's Uncle Jason and Aunt Mandy had their baby girl last Wednesday, May 21st! Rob and Jen are officially uncle and aunt!! She is absolutly beautiful and we don't say that just because she's our niece! She weighed 7 lbs and was 21 1/2 inches long. We had a great visit and it was so much fun to get the cousins together (even though they had no idea what was going on). Here's the pictures of Blair Mae, mom and dad, cousins and aunt and uncle!!

Grayden is 2 months old!!!

Our big boy just got bigger! He's officially two months old now! He's grown so much over the past two months and developing well too. He's holding his head really well now, and he's been doing push ups when we put him on his belly. He acts like he's trying to roll over from his stomach to his back, but hasn't made it yet. He smiles ALL the time and appears to be a very happy baby, so Rob and I must be doing something right. Also- big news! Jen has got herself a full-time job as an outpatient dietitian with MTMC (a hospital in Murfreesboro)!! Rob will officially be starting his new job as a stay-at-home dad in 2 weeks!! We're very excited about this new change and ask for prayers as we start yet another adventure!!

And the time keeps flying by...

Grayden is over a month old already! He will be 6 weeks old this Wednesday. I can't believe how fast it has gone! He's a growing boy- already up to 1olbs!! He gained a whole pound in one week. He's a healthy breastfed boy! He's a good eater. He's doing great and has been such an easy baby, last night he slept for 6 whole hours!!! It was fabulous! We think he's even starting to smile at us (I know, it's probably just gas- but really it seems like he knows us!)


We made our first trip to Ohio last weekend, and he couldn't have behaved any better. He slept most the way, woke up to demand to be fed, and only made a few messy diapers. Even Riley enjoyed having her brother along for the ride.

Grayden is also getting very excited because he is going to have cousins! His uncle Jason and Aunt Mandy are expecting a girl very soon and he just got news that his Uncle Danny and Aunt Jenna are having a baby too!! Grayden is ready for the challenge of being the oldest cousin and is very excited about having friends his age!

Rob and I are doing well. Making plans for what will come next... I'm planning to go back to work with the hopes of finding a new job, something full-time with benefits. Rob wants to go back to school to get his masters so he can teach. Our prayer is all things will fall into place just as it has with Grayden. Keep us in your prayers!

4 weeks old!

Grayden is 4 weeks old already! I can't believe how fast time the time has gone. But I guess when all life consists of is nursing, sleeping and changing diapers- the days fly! Rob, I, and Grayden have been doing well- adjusting well to life with three (4 including Miss Riley). We can't complain- taking care of an infant is fairly easy!- And did I mention fun? We're having a fantastic time with him and enjoying how much fun he really is.

Grayden has been very healthy- gaining weight steadily. In fact- our little man is becoming a chub-chub! He's up to 9 lbs!! He's gaining himself a nice round belly and some chubby cheeks! We can't complain- a chubby baby is a healthy baby- or so that is what we've been told. He's really doing well though- he's awake for almost 4 hours of the day now- sometimes more, sometimes less. He's really got a grip on him too- he's started pinching and grabbing- and hard. We're having fun- and Rob and I have decided- we're going to keep him.

Welcome Grayden David Hartman!!

He's arrived! Grayden David Hartman was born on March 5th at 2:50 pm!! He weighed 7 lbs and 7 oz and was 20 inches long. Rob, Jen, and baby are all doing fantastic! Induction started at 7:30 am on Wednesday morning and progressed nicely without any complications. Grayden is now at home and is 11 days old and is doing wonderfully! He's gained back 6 oz (he was down to 7lbs when we left the hospital last Friday). He also had his first pediatrician visit. He didn't even cry when she stripped him down and examined him! Rob and I are doing well, adjusting to parenthood and sleep deprived lives. We can't thank you all enough for your support, encouragement, excitement, and most importantly prayers!! Grayden is so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends and we can't wait for you all to meet him! Here's some pictures of the exciting event!
